Since there are earlier parlimentary elections in Poland this Sunday, there is a huge campaing now in all media. But there is also a 'anti-political' capmaing - a widespread promotion of citizen movement, ie. encouraging people to go and do the act of voting, no matter for who.

  Dick4dick! Yes, the band usually takes their name seriously and all the songs say about the same issue, hehe.
  Firstly, I got to know them, as one of the singers is my good friend's school teacher. Secondly, half of the band performed at vernissage of one of the lions' exhibition. Thirdly, Dick4dick had a gig at Off Festival in Mysłowice (www.off-festival.pl), where I travelled as well.

I decided that my summer in Gdans, my home town will not be boring for me. So... as much as possible I'll be joining any culture events and I will force my family to do so. :D

Why? There are too many things going on around and it's a sin to miss them and later say Poland is boring!!

Results so far are:

- watching "I served the English king" in the cinema, a Slovak film based on the idea by B. Hrabal.
- I go to an experimantal theatre show by Plavo Pozorista from Serbia tonight. Actually, a friend takes me there. For more click here.

Generally politics in France have a long history, not necesserily of a clean fight for ideas. It often in smell, crapy and supports only sily farmers who protest in Chapms Elysees.

BUT...

they just had 84% of turnover during presidential elections! Just yesterday!

I have three thoughts after:
1. Congratulations, the people of France! :)
2. Maybe I will start to love French politics? :?
3. Why can't we have this kind of turnover in Poland or Indoensia? :(

Sobotni poranek, otwieram wirtualne 'Wysokie Obcasy' i mój wybór padł na wywiad o kobietach (bo o czym? :P ) z Lechem Wałęsą. Poglądy każdy może mieć jakie chce, niewiele mi do tego, ale ten pan odpowiadał jak... jak... nie da się tego czytać, odpowiedzi są miejscami niepoprawne gramatycznie i niespójne. I niegrzeczne!

How about seeing an Indonesian film every Monday?

I went with a friend of mine to Wijaya 21 Cinema last Monday preceisely. It's walking distance from my place and the ticke was 10 000Rp only... because it was 'nomat', like 'cheap Tuesday' in Poland.

We saw Nagabonar jadi 2 . It was ok, as I understood the story with only a little help of my friend and since it was about some very Indonesian behaviour. Perhaps a silly comedy, but I enjoyed.

Who wants to join me (pleeeeeeese) the next Monday for fun + perhaps some translations... ? :)

In the musem there were guides explaining all the things about the items displayed. But since I've been there 2 weeks ago and it was in Indonesian, I didn't really listen to them. I rather tried to take photos, espacially I had a new camera I got from my dad just 2 days before (thanks!). In fact, I was only playing around with no hope for good shots with my little panasonic.

But in one of the rooms I managed to catch this (see aside).

How do you think it looks? :D So I approached Natalia saying 'He, it looks like a ghost!' Some other people saw the photo from behind... and this is how the mess begun. As we all were walking to the other rooms, then waiting a bit, chatting to each other... and a few other people wanted to see the photo I took. The gossip spread. I did not say I saw ghost, I just explained to the guys where it was taken (in a room witha big bed, called the Duch room) and that I was only fooling around with the camera. Some said 'Yes, it's a bule female.. it must be a Portugese girl... or Dutch?', or 'She smiles? But she's horryfying...' and 'Yyy... brrr'.

Even the professional guides saw my photo. One said later to the whole group that it was a proof there has been something strange going on in the building.

Basically the majprity of the present believed I took a picture of a ghost. I was stunned with the fact this ind of joke can actually be taken seriously with no quetsions. Amazing... but scarry. It seems people here would believe everything - what a power!

Whats is more, there were 3 mainstreem television stations present. TPI TV and TransTV kindly wanted to see the famous photo wiht their glass eye, heh, and interview me. I'll be on tv! Awesome! Yessy from TransTV promised to call me when they are going to brodcast that 15 second 'my' show.

Tue - Bandunng, UnPad and promo of the first Indonesian book about Poland, later Tangkuban Prahu (aweosome) and way back to Jkt. Dad hangs out with Andrzej, a friend of mine, bakc at 3am. :D
Wed - Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, bit of shopping again. Aniel and me out to Kemang in the night with wolf friends, back at 2am. :)

Thr - little shopping as well. And bye bye... my families flied back home to Gdańsk in the afternoon. It was a bit sad, but I'll join my parents most likely in May, and my sis in July.

There will be a follow up of the vist will be a list of programmes my dad wanted to buy at Ratu Plaza, but we had no time left. Also he will send some Polish dictionaries for one men he had met here, via me.

Ello!

This is a new news and how my sister in lucky! Really!!!!     When flying form Geneva she got a normal seat in her plane, but from Frankfurt to Jakarta she got placed in business class!!!!!! For 15 hours long flight!!!! With all the features business class gives!!!!!    Just because her economy class wes taken by someone else. Eh...

Anyways, finally she's here. We haven't seen each other for about 10 months and so it's so good to see her. I got a sister back! :)

She's keen on eating seafood, alike my parents, so now I won't east meat at all, only see creatureas and weeds.

Today was rather unogranised day, consisitng of a bit of shopping, bit of nothing as my mom felt a bit sick. Nah, ok lah...

Afteroon was more of an interesting expariance for me beacuse I was accompanying my dear naighbour and another friend of ours to a hospital for loungs and cough check up. It was a real hospital, with real hospital smell, mostly veiled nurses and q queue to every doctor. But as we were 3 there, waiting was not that bad. (And I asked the friend my old question: "providing you have a broken knee and it was put into plaster, how do you use Indonesian style toilet?" The answer was: "who the fuck cares about those people" :D meaing "I don't have a clue".). Probably none of the freinds have loungs cancer - but this will reveal on Thursday on evaluation visit with a Roentget photo - so we left in good moods.

Later, already with my parents, we all went to a Chinese resuaturant by the friends chioce. My dim sum steammed I-don't-know-really-what was very tasty. :)

Sleeep!   Besides my poor neighbours caughing halfo of the night...
